POSITION 1
Edge Analytical is an environmental analytical laboratory, an essential service, seeking two full-time, entry-level Lab Technicians for Inorganics at its laboratory in Burlington, WA.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma with Chemistry coursework
• An Associate Degree in Chemistry or current college coursework in a laboratory science in preferred
• Lab experience a plus
• Must have a strong attention to detail and have good organizational and multitasking skills for
the planning and executing of daily/weekly work schedule
• Be able to handle changes to schedule as priority testing arises
• Basic computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat)
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to think critically

Position responsibilities:
• Prepare reagents (gravimetric and volumetric)
• Sample preparations, extractions or digestions
• Restock general laboratory supplies
• Follow EPA and Standard Method protocols.
• Read and meet the requirements of these methods through following the laboratory Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs).
• Sample tracking, organizing and storage
• Work independently and with others within the department
• Follow safety guidelines and wear required safety PPE
• Perform other duties as assigned

POSITION 2
Edge Analytical Laboratories is hiring a full-time Sample Receiving clerk at our Burlington laboratory.

Primary duties include:

  • Sample receiving: Unpacking water and other environmental samples, logging in samples, assisting customers, reviewing folders, and sample triage.
  • Some Physical Activity: Normal lifting up to 20 lbs but occasionally 30+ lbs. Requires a lot of standing, bending, and occasional lifting.
  • Sample login: Utilizing lab computer program for login and project tracking
  • Exposure to chemicals: Working with hazardous materials and some chemical use (may trigger headaches in some people. This is not the right position for you if you are prone to headaches or are sensitive to odors)
