Position: Laboratory Aid

  • Edge Analytical a Fast-paced Environmental testing lab in Bellingham is looking for a full time Laboratory Aid.

    Job includes:

  • Preparation of media used in the analysis of samples
  • Proper disposal of samples and media
  • Janitorial duties that include but are not limited to: vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
  • Dishwashing of labware
  • Perform inventory and receive laboratory supplies
  • Possible courier work at times
  • Possible office duties that include scanning and filing of paperwork

    Requirements:

  • High school diploma. Biology and/or Chemistry course work a plus
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique strongly recommended
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Able to work around strong odors, loud sounds and potentially hazardous chemicals/samples
  • Must be a dependable team player
  • Ability to multi-task is strongly recommended
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions and perform tasks and record keeping with detailed accuracy
  • Must be able to work a 9-6 schedule
